From an early age, Vanessa was captivated by the natural world’s hidden treasures—tumbled agates at her grandmother’s house, shells and stones gathered on seaside vacations, each piece a silent keeper of stories. Her creative path first led her into the music industry, a space alive with artistry and energy. But after the loss of a business partner, she found herself searching for a new direction.
A chance reunion with an old friend brought her to the Tucson Gem Show, where she was reunited with the brilliant, intricate world of gemstones & minerals. The vibrant hues and unique mineral structures reignited a sense of wonder within her, sparking a passion she couldn’t ignore. It was clear this discovery was more than coincidence; it was a calling.
Vanessa’s journey quickly evolved, as her fascination led her to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where she became a certified gemologist. She spent years mastering her craft, sourcing exotic gemstones, and curating collections for clients. But her path soon turned toward creation, blending her design instincts with her technical expertise to craft pieces that honor both light and shadow, strength and elegance.
House of Vipera was born from this journey—a brand that celebrates authenticity in duality, creating jewelry that embodies the many facets of its wearer’s story.
